The Wheat and the Weeds
[麥子與莠子]
🌾 Why does God let bad things grow? [為什麼天主容許壞事發生？]
Jesus told a farming story to give us the answer! [耶穌說了一個農夫的故事來給我們解答！]
📖 Another Farming Story? [又是一個農夫的故事？]
"The kingdom of heaven [天國] is like a man who planted good seed [種子] in his field [田地]. But at night, while everyone was sleeping, his enemy [敵人] came. The enemy planted weeds [莠子] among the wheat [小麥] and went away."
"The servants [僕人] asked, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up [拔掉]?'"
"'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you might root up [連根拔起] the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest [收割].'"
🤔 Why not pull them out? [為什麼不拔掉？]
When darnel is young, it looks exactly like good wheat! You cannot tell the difference [分辨]. Did you know? In the Roman Empire [羅馬帝國], planting darnel in someone's field was a real crime [犯罪]! It was against the law [法律] because it destroyed the farmer's food and money.
❤️ The True Meaning [真正的含義]
In this story, the field is the world. The good seeds are God's people. The weeds are evil [邪惡]. The Catholic Catechism 天主教教理 teaches us that in this world, and even in the Church, there are good and bad things mixed together.
God is very patient [有耐心的],
Because a weed cannot change, but a bad person can change [可以悔改] into a good person with God's love!
🌱 Lessons and Action [啟示與行動]
⚖️ Do not judge too quickly [不要太快下定論]
Only God knows a person's true heart. Sometimes, people we think are "weeds" can change and become good [悔改成為好人].
⏳ Be patient [有耐心的]
The world is not perfect. There are bad things. But God is in control [天主掌管一切]. He has a plan for the future harvest.
✨ Action [實際行動]
Focus on your own growth [專注於自身的成長]. Today, try to do one kind thing for a friend or your family. Produce good grain [結出好果實]!
