Jesus also said, "Do not babble (嘮叨) like the pagans (外邦人)." Some people back then thought they needed to use many empty words to make God listen. But Jesus said, "No!" Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. True prayer means an honest connection, not a noisy show!
The Ultimate Guide 📖 (終極指南)
“[But] take care not to perform righteous deeds (行公義) in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense (回報) from your heavenly Father. When you give alms (施捨), do not blow a trumpet (吹喇叭) before you, as the hypocrites (假善人) do in the synagogues (會堂) and in the streets to win the praise (稱讚) of others. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward (酬勞). But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right is doing, so that your almsgiving (施捨) may be secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you."
“When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you. In praying, do not babble (嘮叨) like the pagans (異教徒), who think that they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
“This is how you are to pray:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed (神聖的) be your name,
your kingdom (國度) come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread;
and forgive us our debts (債),
as we forgive our debtors (欠債者);
and do not subject us to the final test,
but deliver (救) us from the evil one.
If you forgive others their transgressions (過失), your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.
What Are We Actually Saying? 🔍 (我們到底在說什麼？)
"Our Father" (我們在天的父): God loves us like a good dad. We say "Our" because everyone in the world is family.
"Hallowed be your name" (願祢的名被尊為聖): We give God our biggest respect. His name is holy (神聖的).
"Your will be done" (願祢的旨意承行): We want God's plan to happen on Earth, because His plan is the best!
"Daily bread" (日用糧): We ask for what we need today (like food and health), not what we are greedy for (貪心的).
"Forgive our debts" (寬免我們的罪債): We ask God to forgive our sins (罪過) and bad choices. But wait! There is a rule! We must also forgive people who are mean to us!
"Deliver us from evil" (救我們免於凶惡): Protect us from bad habits and danger.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (天主教教理) says this prayer is the "summary of the whole Gospel" (整個福音的綱要).

Find a quiet place and put down your phone. Pray to God in secret (暗中). You don't need to post it on social media! God sees your heart.
🤝 Practice Forgiveness (練習寬恕)
When you say "forgive us," think of someone you need to forgive (原諒) today. Remember Jesus' warning: We must forgive to be forgiven. Letting go of anger is good for your heart.
🍞 Keep It Simple (保持簡單)
Don't use empty words (嘮叨) to complain about what you don't have. Say a simple "Thank you" to God for your "daily bread" (three good things you have today).
