So Hungry! 🤤 (肚子好餓啊!)

😈
小缺德
Ugh, another story? Come on! I am so hungry (肚子餓) right now. Reading is so boring (無聊)! Can we just order a pizza? 🍕 I don't have the patience (耐心) for this!
👼
小德德
Don't be angry, BadDer! Today's story is actually about food (食物)! Let's see how Jesus helps a very large crowd (群眾) when they were hungry. Hello friends, welcome to our Bible blog! Are you ready?

The Big Miracle 🍞🐟 (大奇蹟)

Sometime later, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (加里肋亞海). A large crowd (群眾) followed him because they saw the miracles (奇蹟) he did for the sick. Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples (門徒). The Jewish Passover Festival (逾越節) was near.

When Jesus looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him, he asked Philip, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?" He asked this only to test (測試) him.

Philip answered, "We need half a year's wages (薪資) just to buy enough bread for each person to have a tiny bite!"

Andrew spoke up, "Here is a boy with five barley loaves (大麥餅) and two small fish (魚), but how far will they go among so many?"

Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." There was a lot of grass in that place, and about five thousand men sat down. Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and shared them with the people. He did the same with the fish. Everyone ate as much as they wanted.

When everyone was satisfied (吃飽了), he said to his disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over (剩下的). Let nothing be wasted (浪費)." So they filled twelve baskets (籃子) with the pieces.

—— Gospel of John (若望福音) 6:1-13

Wait, wait, wait! Are you kidding me (開玩笑)? Five pieces of bread and two fish for over 5,000 people? That is impossible (不可能)! Did Jesus use a magic wand (魔杖)? 🪄 Or did everyone just take a very, very tiny bite (咬一小口)? This sounds like a fairy tale (童話故事)!
👼
小德德
BadDer, watch your attitude (注意態度)! It's okay to have questions, but please be respectful (尊重的). This is not magic; this is a miracle (奇蹟)! Let's look at what the scholars (學者) say!

Magic or Sharing? 🤔 (魔法還是分享?)

💡
Fun Fact / 冷知識

Did you notice the boy had barley loaves (大麥餅)? Barley was very cheap (便宜). It was the food for poor people (窮人). This shows that God uses simple, everyday things to do great works!

👼
小德德
There are two ways to understand this miracle:
1. A Miracle of Power (大能的奇蹟): God is almighty (全能的). Jesus is the Son of God, so He has the power to multiply (增加) the food.
2. A Miracle of Sharing (分享的奇蹟): Experts say the little boy giving his food moved (感動) everyone. The selfish (自私) people secretly brought food, but when they saw the boy share, they opened their bags and shared too!
😈
小缺德
Pfft! If it was just people sharing their own food, then it's not a real miracle! You are making it sound so ordinary (普通的). I want to see real magic! 🎩
👼
小德德
Stop being silly! Helping selfish people open their hearts to share is a beautiful miracle of love (愛的奇蹟)! ✨

The Bread of Life ⛪ (生命的食糧)

Just like Jesus fed the hungry crowd,
He feeds our souls (靈魂) with His own body today at Mass (彌撒).

📖
Church Teaching / 教會教導

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (天主教教理, CCC 1335), this miracle points to the Eucharist (聖體聖事). The physical food reminds us of the spiritual food Jesus gives us!

But I Have So Little! 🥺 (但我擁有的好少!)

😈
小缺德
Wait a minute! You say we should share. But what if I only have a little bit (一點點)? I am just a kid! My help is too small to make a difference (產生影響). I can't save the world! 🌍
👼
小德德
That is a great question, BadDer! Many people ask: "How can I share when I have so little?" Look at the boy in the story. He only had five loaves and two fish. For 5,000 people, it was almost nothing (微不足道)!
😈
小缺德
Yeah! If I were him, I would just eat it myself (自己吃掉). 😋
👼
小德德
But the boy didn't keep it. He gave everything he had to Jesus. The story tells us this important lesson: God doesn't need us to be rich or powerful. He just needs us to be willing (願意的) to give what we have. When we put our small gifts in God's hands, He makes them enough (足夠)! ❤️

Your Turn! 🚀 (換你囉!)

😈
小缺德
Okay, fine. I understand now! Even if my help is small, God can still use it. So, what should I do today? Should I go buy some fish? 🐟
👼
小德德
Haha, no need to buy fish! The true inspiration (啟示) is to look around you and see what you can offer right now. Let's take action!
01

🤝 Share (分享)

Share something with a friend or family member today. It can be a snack, your time, or even a kind word (一句好話).

02

🙏 Trust (信任)

When you feel like you don't have enough energy or ability, ask Jesus to bless what little you have.

😈
小缺德
Fine... I guess I can share half of my sandwich with you, DerDer. But just half! 🥪 See you next time, guys!

👼 小德德最後想說——

Thank you for reading today! Let's be generous (慷慨的) like the little boy.

You might think, "I am only a student," or "I only have a little money." But remember, God uses simple things to do great works!

Never hide your gifts. Bring your 5 loaves and 2 fish to Jesus today!
