Culture is about how people live. The world has many different and beautiful cultures. Each culture has its own customs and traditions.

Sometimes, different cultures have things that are the same. These are called cultural universals. For example, all cultures have families. They also have ways to say hello. People everywhere also have celebrations, like weddings and birthdays. These celebrations might be different in each culture, but they all exist.

There are many interesting and beautiful things that people do in their cultures. Here are a few remarkable examples from around the globe:

🌊 The Bajau — Southeast Asia The Bajau people live on the water in houseboats. They are very good at holding their breath and can dive very deep to fish. For them, time is not very important, and they don't always celebrate birthdays.
🐴 The Gauchos — Argentina In Argentina, there are people called Gauchos, who are like cowboys. They are known for being good with horses and live a simple life in the grasslands. Some Gauchos welcome visitors and show them their traditions.
🦅 The Kazakhs — Central Asia The Kazakhs in Central Asia are descendants of Mongols. They live in transportable tents called yurts and move with the seasons. They have a special tradition of hunting with eagles. Young boys train golden eagles to help them.
🌺 The Himba — Namibia The Himba people in Namibia have a unique look. They put a red paste on their skin and hair. The women also take smoke baths to stay clean because there is not always much water.
🍜 Japan — The Noodle Tradition In Japan, it is okay to make noise when you eat noodles. Slurping shows that you are enjoying your food.
